Apple Music appears to be following Spotify’s lead in providing listeners with animated album art. As of now, Spotify Canvas features short, looped clips on select albums which have increased engagement by providing eye-catching visuals. ⁣

More music streaming platforms have been expanding into video content, with Spotify recently claiming you can “watch music videos, documentaries, and exclusive video series all within the Spotify app.” The only issue is, you can’t, at least not yet. While no official comments have since been made by Spotify, there’ve been a multitude of reports that video content is currently in the works. ⁣

With Facebook and Apple Music TV having recently launched official music video streaming features, and with YouTube Music encroaching on the streaming service front, the race to provide an all-encompassing music platform has begun.
