STEVE KERR SHARES STORY OF WHEN HE FINED DRAKE, STEPH CURRY, AND DRAYMOND GREEN

Golden State Head Coach Steve Kerr shared a story with reporters about how he once had to fine Stephen Curry, Draymond Green...and Drake, for being late.

Kerr said the team had just finished playing their game against the Toronto Raptors and they were headed to the airport, but two players hadn't shown up by the time the plane was supposed to leave. Those two players were Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Steph said over the phone that they were still hanging out with Drake at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. When they finally showed up at the airport, Drake was still with them, thanks to a team rule that allowed players to bring a guest on the team plane a couple times a year. Steph used his slot on Drake.

It's hard to forget the playful (?) public beef Drake and Steph had during the 2019 Finals, but this memory may be confirmation that it was indeed all in good fun. Even though it was the popstar himself, Steve Kerr wasn't going to let the tardiness slide. “Drake got on the plane that night with Draymond and Steph, and I fined all three of them for being late. And Drake paid his $500 fine... true story!" said Kerr.
